H. Upmann Noellas Jar LCDH — A Classic Cuban Cigar in a Collector’s Jar
The H. Upmann Noellas Jar LCDH brings together classic Cuban craftsmanship and one of the most distinctive presentations in the H. Upmann portfolio. The Noellas was created as a revival of the traditional glass-jar presentation once associated with Cuban cigars. The LCDH version is sold exclusively through La Casa del Habano.
The cigar itself uses the Cosacos vitola, measuring 135 mm in length with a 42 ring gauge. It is handmade in Cuba and classified as a Corona in popular format terminology.
The Noellas delivers a smooth and elegant H. Upmann character. The smoking experience can develop from cream, caramel and cedar toward leather, earth, roasted nuts and coffee, with gentle baking spice adding complexity toward the finish. Its overall character is generally described as light to medium / medium strength.
The presentation is a major part of its appeal: 25 cigars are housed inside a reusable glass jar, with the LCDH second band identifying its exclusive positioning. The original release was announced in 2009, with the initial production limited to approximately 5,000 jars, although subsequent batches appeared later.
